Artists incorporate architectural details in their paintings in different ways. The detail of a window, an arch, a rendering of a basic building block or the precise complete detail of a classical frieze are subjects which artists interpret through their own personal vision. Artists’ interpretations celebrate their encounter with buildings which inspire them. Through fine painting, architecture influences our thinking about solidity, transcendence, everyday life and higher ideals. |
