Hailing from the West Coast, Louise DeMore presents fluid and colorful contemporary paintings in the impressionistic style: "I work to capture a feeling by using light and color. I don’t intend to tell a story but to create a mood." From scenes of France and Italy, DeMore focuses a setting by capturing the coloring of nature’s light. She uses oil in most of her paintings: landscapes, still life and florals. ~ Louise DeMore graduated from the Art Center College of Design at UCLA and has studied with California plein-aire painters. She has received over 75 awards; her works are in numerous corporate and private collections.
 
          From still life to landscape, Raka Bose Saha’s paintings explode in capturing light through an unusual color palette. Colors juxtaposed to create a vibrant effect, creating strong unique patterns: "I believe that art must show a certain beauty and the essence of beauty is the idea; the vehicle of the idea is the form." Her paintings have a powerful quality to landscapes while her still life paintings exude a Fauvist sensibility. ~ Residing in Maryland, Raka Bose Saha holds degrees from the U of Michigan and the U of Calcutta. She has received awards in juried shows and her paintings are in private and corporate collections. more
