Lee Boynton grew up summering on a small island off the coast of Maine where he discovered a quality of life that appealed to his visual perception of the world. He loved the pristine beauty of the rugged coastline and the dramatic changes in mood that their lives occurred with shifts in the weather. Lee captures the deepest essence of atmosphere and impressionistic color. His work, both oil and watercolor, is infused with a powerful quality of light. ~ Boynton studied at the Arts Students' League in New York and the Cape School of Art in Provincetown, Massachusetts. |
