Summer Showcase
 
Foxhall Gallery is pleased to introduce two new artists to the Washington area:
Susan Budash and Thomas Torak.

Susan Budash

          Hailing from New York state, Susan Budash has exhibited her paintings in solo and group exhibitions in galleries and art centers throughout the United States. Included are The Lexington Art League in Lexington, KY and the Kerr Cultural Center in Scottsdale, AZ. Additionally, Susan's work may be found in private and corporate collections including The Marks Foundation, People, Inc. and the State University of New York/Buffalo. Besides painting, Susan leads workshops, teaches adult art education and actively participates in artists' groups.
 
Thomas Torak
 

"Silver and Gold"

          Vermont artist Thomas Torak is a particularly meticulous painter of still life. All work is created on fine Belgian linen prepared by the artist. He grinds his own paints and prepares his mediums to ensure freshness and high quality. National recognition of his work has come through group exhibitions at the Butler Institute of American Art, the Springfield Museum of Fine Art and others. Numerous awards include the Audubon Artists Gold Medal of Honor and the Medal of Honor for Oil, American Artists Professional League. Thomas is a member of the Academic Artists Association and New York's Salmagundi Club.
 
 
          New work by Gallery Artists includes interiors by Laura Loe, Christel Minotti, and Carrita Smith; scenes of Greece and Italy by Caroline Huff; views of France and Anacostia by Dorsey McHugh; landscapes by David Brewster and David Zuck; oils of New York City by Janet Keena; miniature oils by Carol Lee Thompson, sculpture by Karen Swenholt and others. New work will be received into the gallery throughout the summer.
